What caused many Texans to leave their homes during the Runaway Scrape?

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

hey bro can you help with my questions I don't have point left plzzzzzz

Answer 2

Answer:

The Runaway Scrape is the period in Texas history that falls between the fall of the Alamo and the victory of San Jacinto. During this time, hundreds of Texas settlers deserted their homes and all their belongings and followed the Texan army to the Sabine River and into East Texas. During this time many Texans succumbed to illness brought on by poor weather, starvation, and diseases. The Texas settlers deserted their homes out of fear that Santa Anna’s army was approaching. The events that led to this massive movement of Texas settlers began with the loss at the Alamo and Goliad. The Texans feared Santa Anna after his ruthless attacks during these battles and saw that Sam Houston was retreating his army to the Colorado River. They interpreted Houston’s move as a sign that he was retreating and followed him thinking Texas would be taken back by Mexico.

Did the “Great Upheaval” do more good or bad for organized labor?

Answers

Answer:

Great Upheaval do more good for organized labor.

Explanation:

The great upheaval was a protest that conducted by the workers of Baltimore and Ohio railroad company after they  unfairly receive a pay cut for the second time in less than a year. The workers filled the transition and prevented the use of railroads until their demands were addressed. The protest ended after the feds sent the national troops to disperse the crowd.

On hindsight,  this might be seen as a failure for the movement. But from that point onward, a lot more people start to pay attention to worker's right and standard living wages. I believe this why Great Upheaval  essentially do more good for organized labor.

Answer:

The Texans believed they had the right to start a provisional government because soon after Santa Anna became president he started to act more like a dictator and less like a president. He stopped upholding federalist values that were important to the people living in Texas. Santa Anna gave more power to himself then he did to the local govenments. He also abolished the Constitution of 1824 which was very important to the Texans.
