According to the reading, people of the Middle Ages started to explore for three reasons. Which of the following was NOT a reason explorers started to circle the globe?

1. Wealth through buying and selling exotic goods
2. Curiosity about other lands and what they held
3. Spreading medical advancements
4. Spreading Christianity

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

I think it would be 3...

Explanation:

I mainly think it would be 3 because the other three seem more motivating to me especially because it's the middle ages and there wasn't too much medical advancement and they had no idea what was out there and couldn't know that there were people to teach medicine to. Also spreading christianity is a much more likely answer because Christians spread it like it's the best thing since sliced bread.

What are some problems the Catholic Church created for itself that led to the Protestant Reformation and the English Reformation?

Answers

Answer:

The Catholic Church was slow to respond systematically to the theological and publicity innovations of Luther and the other reformers. The Council of Trent, which met off and on from 1545 through 1563, articulated the Church’s answer to the problems that triggered the Reformation and to the reformers themselves.

The Catholic Church of the Counter-Reformation era grew more spiritual, more literate and more educated. New religious orders, notably the Jesuits, combined rigorous spirituality with a globally minded intellectualism, while mystics such as Teresa of Avila injected new passion into the older orders. Inquisitions, both in Spain and in Rome, were reorganized to fight the threat of Protestant heresy.

What are advantages and disadvantages of Bedouin life?

Answers

Answer:

The Bedouin or Bedu (/ˈbɛduɪn/;[8] Arabic: بَدْو‎, romanized: badw, singular بَدَوِي badawī) is a population of nomadic Arabs who have historically inhabited the desert regions in North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, Upper Mesopotamia and the Levant.[9] The English word bedouin comes from the Arabic badawī, which means "desert dweller", and is traditionally contrasted with ḥāḍir, the term for sedentary people.[10] Bedouin territory stretches from the vast deserts of North Africa to the rocky sands of the Middle East.[11] They are traditionally divided into tribes, or clans (known in Arabic as ʿašāʾir; عَشَائِر), and historically share a common culture of herding camels and goats.[11] The vast majority of Bedouin adhere to Islam, although there are some fewer numbers of Arab Christian Bedouins present in the Fertile Crescent.

Hello!

Back in the 1800’s almost everyone would wear hats.

EX; mostly men wore top hats.

I was just curious because I know top hats are still made (and any hat in general..) so why does nobody wear them anymore?

Also, I see some people wear hats - but it’s always just a cap. (Baseball cap type). Why does nobody wear those top hats / those fancy womens short hats with the veil anymore?

I never see anyone wearing hats anymore, unless it’s a baseball cap or a cowboy hat... (you get the idea!)

Did they go out of style?

The only time I’ll see a different hat that isn’t some sort of baseball cap or cowboy hat would be in an antique store. But even then, I never see anyone wearing those hats other than the two hats I see daily

(cowboy / baseball cap).

How is a strong central government a departure from republicanism

Answers

Answer:

Republicanism is a political ideology which believe that a country should be run by dividing it into smaller states and putting a representative to independently run the affairs on each states.

In Republicanism, the smaller states have high authority to run itself and the central government play very little influence in influencing the outcome of their policies.

Strong Central government will shatter this system because it will put the central government in a position to control the smaller states and force them to conform to a certain policy.

This is why many people believe that a strong central government is a departure from republicanism.
