physiological population densities of each country is significantly different.

What is to explain for this difference between the two countries?

a.)The availability of natural resources such as iron and water.

b.)Israel's access to arable land.

c.)Israel's larger total population.

d.)Belize's economic development.

e.)The number of farmers in both Belize and Israel.

Answers

Answer: c.)Israel's larger total population.

Explanation:

Population density shows the number of people per unit area. It is calculated by dividing the population of people in the area by the size of the area.

Israel has a population of over 9 million people while Belize has a population of around 400,000 people. This is why both the arithmetic and  physiological population densities of both areas are so different because there will be more people per unit area in Israel than Belize.

The ground motion of an earthquake wave generated by a 5.0 magnitude earthquake is ten times greater than the ground motion of a 4.0 magnitude earthquake wave.

What is an earthquake?

The Earth is made up of various grades and structures, and when two blocks suddenly fall or slip past one another, the reaction is referred to as an earthquake. It is also known as a surface that, when slipped, causes a fault or a "call to the plane."

An earthquake basically occurs on the earth's surface whenever there is shaking of the surface and a sudden release of energy is observed in the earth's sphere, which creates specific waves.

On Earth, there are various locations that can be called sensitive locations because earthquakes occur there on a frequent basis. The frequency of the earth is measured in the unit termed "magnitude."

As a result, a wave that is generated at 5.0 magnitude is 10 times greater than a 4.0 magnitude wave.

Which fossil fuel can be stored underground until use or transported through pipelines and liquefied?

peat

oil

natural gas

coal

Answers

Answer:

natural gas

Explanation:

Natural gas is the fossil fuel which can be stored underground due to the fact that, it is easily evaporated when exposed to the air. To prevent its loss due to exposure, there is need to store it below its normal temperature thereby liquefying it (making it to exist as a liquid rather than gas). Also, transportation through the pipelines helps in its protection rather than open transportation using trucks due to its high volatile nature.

How do data collected from ice cores provide evidence for climate change? A. Air bubbles trapped in a layer indicate how much CO2 was in the atmosphere the year the layer formed. B. The types of organisms currently living in a layer indicate precipitation patterns the year the layer formed, C. The current temperature of each layer indicates the temperature in the year the layer formed. D. The thickness of a layer indicates whether human activity caused a temperature increase the year the layer formed.

Answers

Answer:  A. Air bubbles trapped in a layer indicate how much CO2 was in the atmosphere the year the layer formed.

Explanation:

When ice cores were formed, they included air bubbles that got stuck during the formation. Scientists can study these air bubbles to find out how much carbon dioxide is in them as this will show the proportion of carbon dioxide in air at the time the core was formed.

They can then compare those figures to current carbon dioxide levels to see if there has been a change. This change will give proof of climate change.

In the early twenty-first century, food security is an increasingly important issue in developed countries. Some neighborhoods in United States cities have been characterized as food deserts. Food deserts are areas with little or no access to healthy and affordable food or limited or no access to fresh fruits and vegetables. A. Describe what kinds of information geographers use to map food deserts (1 point). B. Identify and explain one reason that residents of urban areas in developed countries lack access to fresh foods (2 points). C. Identify and explain one impact of living in a food desert (2 points). answers

Answers

Answer and Explanation:

A. Geographers can map data that reveals the number of supermarkets and grocery stores in the region, the difficulty of access to supermarkets and grocery stores and the availability of vegetable gardens and food production sites in the region.

B. These regions promote a greater demand for fresh food, but the increasing urbanization and industrialization of these areas reduces the agricultural areas and, therefore, decreases the availability of these foods. In addition, the busy life of the inhabitants makes them look for faster and already prepared foods, which are industrialized products.

C. An impact that a food desert can provide is the mass malnutrition of the population, as well as a series of other diseases that can lead to a progressive decrease in the population of the region.

essay about water in nepali

Answers

Answer:

How long does it have to be ?

Answer:

Explanation:

Nepal is a landlocked nation with the current population of over 27 million people. As reported by the World Bank, Nepal is one of the poorest nations in the world with an estimated GDP per capita of US$470. With a staggering 42 percent of the population living below the poverty line and only 27 percent with improved access to sanitation, there are quite a number of issues facing Nepal. Some of these significant challenges are related to water pollution and water scarcity.

Water is one of the basic human necessities but a large proportion of the Nepalese population is devoid of access to safe and adequate drinking water. According to the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage in Nepal, even though an estimated 80% of the total population has access to drinking water, it is not safe. Those belonging to poor and excluded groups in rural areas have limited to no access. Many in remote areas have to rely on small brooks running from the mountains and spend hours traveling to get water. Still the drinking water available is not always safe as supplied water is often polluted. One of the reasons for this is due to the fact that the surface and ground water in the Kathmandu Valley is deteriorating by natural and anthropogenic contaminations. The surface water is polluted by industry and domestic waste along with discharge of untreated sewage from tightly packed residential neighborhoods. It is without a doubt that the domestic sewage system is deemed one of the top sources of water pollution that seeps into rivers and lakes, which are the primary sources of drinking water. The capital city of Kathmandu is estimated to produce150 tons of waste daily and almost half of this is dumped into rivers and 80 percent of the wastewater is generated by households. In addition, due to the increasing population and establishments, surface water sources alone has become inadequate to service everyone.

In some of the rural regions of Nepal communities still rely on getting their drinking water from tube wells. Recently, one of the major concerns in these regions, especially in the region of Terai, is groundwater contamination from arsenic. The Terai Region contains sedimentary layers of sand, gravel deposits interlocked with flood plains carried by rivers and is extremely vulnerable to arsenic contamination.

As only 27 percent of the population has access to basic sanitation, those without access rely on local surface water sources like rivers for bathing and washing clothes. At the same time, the establishments of water treatment facilities throughout the urban and rural regions are limited. As a result, Nepal faces a high number of water-borne diseases such as diarrhea, dysentery, typhoid, gastroenteritis and cholera. Starting with the dry season in the month of March to the end of the rainy season in September, one is extremely vulnerable to waterborne illnesses. Coupled with the unhygienic environmental situation, the risk of food and water contamination is increased. Children under the age of five are the most affected with an estimated 44,000 children dying every year in Nepal from waterborne diseases.

The demand for water is increasing significantly in Nepal and access to safe and adequate drinking water is crucial. The public lacks awareness and education on proper sanitation issues and domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants need to be widespread. Nepal struggles to overcome this obstacle and needs solutions to eradicate this so that its citizens can live healthier lives.
