A contraceptive has an actual effectiveness of 82%. Over the course of one year, how many couples out of 100 using this method will become pregnant?
Group of answer choices

a. 82

b. 24

c. 18

d. 64

Answers

Answer:

c. 18

Explanation:

Given that the contraceptive has an effectiveness of 82%, I am assuming this implies that 82% of 100 or 82 couples will not get pregnant which leaves 18 couples left who will. This math simply involves subtraction of the total couples from the total couples multiplied by the percent effectiveness: total # couples - % effectiveness × total # couples.

100 - 82% of 100 = 100 - 82 = 18

three ways that ETS affects children.?
What are two public policies aimed at reducing ETS?
How can smoking during pregnancy have long-term effects on the child?
Why should you try to avoid ETS, and how can you reduce your exposure to ETS?

These chemicals include 2-naphthylamine, N-nitrosodimethylamine, 4-aminobiphenyl, and carbon monoxide. Environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) is composed of both mainstream and sidestream smoke. ETS is diluted by the air in the room before it is inhaled and is therefore less concentrated than mainstream or sidestream smoke.

Which system is considered the body's pleasure center?
O digestive system
O limbic system
O circulatory system
O nervous system

Answers

Answer:

The circulatory system

Explanation:

The circulatory system  is considered the body's pleasure center.

What is Circulatory system?

All of the body's cells require access to oxygen, nutrition, and the removal of waste products. These are the circulatory system's primary functions. The body's cells are supplied with oxygen and nutrients through the heart, blood, and blood vessels.

Blood transports carbon dioxide to the lungs (for exhale) and picks up oxygen through the network of arteries, veins, and capillaries. The blood collects food nutrients from the small intestine and transports them to every cell in the body.

Blood is moved around the body by the heart. It is positioned inside the chest, somewhat to the left of center, in front of the lungs. The four chambers of the heart really function as two pumps, with blood flowing through them in only one direction because of the presence of heart valves.

Therefore, The circulatory system  is considered the body's pleasure center.

Please take some time to write a one page (four to five paragraphs) paper on social media and how it influences the youth? How does this effect you and your future? I kinda got caught up in it and ended up writing the essay lol

As we all know, social media is a part of everyone's life. Whether if you only own one app, or so many that you don't have any more room for it. In today's age, social media has an impact on every aspect of life. Social Media is used to communicate, figure out social status and creates new society norms everyday. How?

Well since social media is very inclusive in everyone's life, it really is no wonder on why it can control your ideas or opinions. Most of the time, social media influences people by what most popular, most viewed, or liked. Especially when someone you may look up to uses social media. You would want to have the same ideas as them, wouldn't you?

Social Media also controls society norms. Based off of the most popular opinion once more, social media decides whether or not something is accepted in society or isn't. Certain posts may be rejected or deleted because it doesn't "fit" society's norms. Why? Because of the popularity thing again.

Social media also changes the way you look at things. It changes the way you receive your news or announcements and updates. Whether it's from the news or from you favorite game. You may seem something on the news, and due to the wonderful editing programs we have today, it may not seem different than for what it actually is.

So is social media a good thing or a bad thing? Again it depends. If I were to post this, I'm sure plenty of people would disagree because of there 2nd nature to rely on social media for everything. Social media does wonders. For good and bad.

Answer:

1.) It makes me more knowledgeable about activities and safe ways to perform them. Like, for example, doing every activity without getting hurt.

2.) Karate probably.

3.) Plain old walking. I am constantly falling forward, and I have to keep my balance and coordinate the movement of my feet with the forward motion of my body.

4.) I play soccer. So that would mean that I can play hockey in the off-season because of the similar movements and fast-paced play.

5.) My guess is the leg action of treading water. The leg action of treading water requires more time and hard work than air, so it is a more difficult aquatic exercise.

6.) I didn't get this on my FLVS assignment, sorry :(

7.) Yes, because all of the activities I do in more than an hour.

These may be cartographic models designed to document the co-occurrence or interrelationship of multiple data layers or they may be hypothetical research models designed to mimic natural ecological systems. Similarly, modeling with GIS can be used to predict the impacts that one set of parameters will have on another. For example, wetlands, soils, hydrography, climatology and elevation data can be combined to model flooding within a river system. Upstream changes in land use within the same system can be modeled to determine the potential impact of conversion of a forested floodplain to residential development or to agriculture.
